A new type of food safety and rapid detection equipment that can complete on-site sample testing within 15 seconds to 30 minutes has recently come out in the Institute of Hygiene and Environmental Medicine of the Academy of Military Medical Sciences.
The equipment can quickly complete the detection of more than 30 kinds of food poisonous substances such as meat moisture, pesticide residues in vegetables, methanol in wine, nitrite content in meat products, and the range covers almost every kind of food in daily life.
According to Dr. Gao Zhixian, deputy director of the Military Health Monitoring Center and the Institute of Hygiene and Environmental Medicine of the Academy of Military Medical Sciences, who lead this project, the project is the first in China to explore food, vegetables, milk, aquatic products, alcohol, and food. Pretreatment and rapid detection methods for nitrites, formaldehyde, methanol, heavy metals, cyanide, organophosphorus pesticides, rat poisons, etc., in various foods such as oil, are small in size, easy to carry, and can be widely used in health and epidemic prevention. , entry and exit food, troops, schools, hotels and other food safety on-site supervision and management. This achievement will play an important role in improving China's food hygiene supervision and testing capabilities and handling emergency response to food safety emergencies, and preventing and responding to major food contamination and food poisoning incidents.
At present, the device has been tested in more than 100 military and local food safety inspection departments. According to the application unit, the equipment is simple, sensitive, accurate and fast, meets the inspection technical requirements, and has significant economic and social benefits.
