Shantou Established Patent Award from May 1

The reporter learned from the press conference of the “Shantou City Patent Incentive Measures” held yesterday by the city government that in order to speed up the implementation of the industrial strong city, the strategy of rejuvenating the city through science and education, and promote the rapid economic development, the city will establish a patent award for scientific and technological and economic development. Patent technology projects and inventors who play a prominent role in the award.

Shantou City Patent Awards are divided into three categories: patent gold awards, patent excellence awards, and outstanding patent inventor awards. They are reviewed every two years, and each award is subject to quotas. The objects of the award include inventions, utility models and design patents owned by or in the city of Shantou City units and individuals, and inventors who have invented patented technologies that have produced significant economic and social benefits after the implementation of Shantou City. The Shantou Patent Incentive Measures will be implemented on May 1 this year.
