German company Beiersdorf is a world-renowned manufacturer of health care and cosmetics. The company has been trying to provide consumers with products that are convenient and effective.
New carton packaging has good visual effect
Beiersdorf company's numerous international famous brands often use attractive and functional packaging to enhance the high-end image of the product, thus gaining consumer recognition in the fierce market competition. Recently, Beiersdorf's Curad Silver new band-aid products sold in the US market have adopted a new carton pack.
This new band-aid product has a layer of silver powder applied to the pad to inhibit bacterial growth and accelerate wound healing. In order to match with the new product, the front of the new carton was printed with a silver glossy effect, which echoed the new silver powder coating and enhanced the high-end image of Curad Band-Aid.
This carton pack saves the production cost of Beiersdorf, which minimizes the use of hot foil and does not affect the strong visual impact of the package. Beiersdorf's Hansaplast bandages, which are specially made for the European market, also use laminated silver foils for ginning for high-gloss visual effects.
The new carton uses a unique closure system that allows the opening of the package to be anti-theft. There is a perforation on the upper end of the carton, and opening the perforation can obtain the band-aid in the package, which is convenient and quick.
Uses strong and stable cardboard
The new carton uses FROVI BRIGHT cardboard from Swedish company Frovi. Rolf Carsten, manager of packaging development at Beiersdorf, said: “We have chosen FROVI BRIGHT paperboard for a number of reasons. In addition to its excellent printability and strong visual impact, the FROVI BRIGHT board structure is strong and versatile. Stability: The new Curad Band-Aid takes a shrink-wrap, which puts a lot of pressure on several sides of the new carton, and the new carton also has to withstand the so-called self-propelled shopping machine in the US retail system (when you After taking a box of products on the shelves, the machine will push the next box of products to the front.) Our original packaging could not withstand these pressures, so we chose FROVI BRIGHT cardboard."
Carsten concluded: “We have a long history of cooperation with Frovi. Although we are not their direct customers, they have given us great support. We very much appreciate FROVI BRIGHT cardboard, which is a green cardboard. Significant performance on presses and other automated machines."
