The use of UV inks or UV coatings may cause the printing ink roller blanket or the tree finger to become swollen. Severe swelling can cause peeling or surface cracking. It is very important to use the specified rubber and tree fingerboard.

Many UV ink suppliers will recommend a range of applications, such as rubber cloth nitrification or Ding nitration materials can be combined with oily UV inks and glazing oil; natural rubber and polyethylene materials will be swollen, not suitable for UV inks And varnish; EPDM rubber is especially suitable for UV inks and varnishes, but not for general inks. The choice of the ink roller of the printing press is also based on this principle. It is not always possible to change the use of UV inks and general oily inks. If it needs to be changed, it must be cleaned and all residual chemicals removed.

Generally, the type of printing machine should be considered when installing UV lamps. For BASF UV inks and varnishes, use industrial pressure mercury lamps or microwave H bulbs. If the first one is monochrome, two 120w/cm medium pressure mercury bulbs should be used. Generally, the difficulty of drying four-color UV inks is magenta, yellow-green, and black. Therefore, the order of UV color printing should be black, cyan, yellow, magenta.

Some colors are very difficult to match, such as green is made of yellow and blue tones; in addition, the opaque color is also difficult to arrange, because it reflects the UV light back. The same problem exists in metallic, gold, and silver.

The life of a UV mercury lamp is constant, and an over-aged lamp cannot dry UV ink or varnish. Most of the instructions for the UV lamp indicate that it is necessary to replace the UV lamp after about 1,000 hours of use. In actual production, if you feel that you can't dry the print at normal printing speed, you must consider replacing the UV lamp.

If no reflector is installed, approximately 80% of the UV light will not be applied to the printed matter due to diffusion, so the UV lamp must be fitted with a lampshade to reflect and focus on the direction of the printed matter. Colleagues, the reflector must also be cleaned and maintained at all times. Some paper dust or dusty dust will affect the reflection efficiency of the UV lamp if it is attached to the reflector. If the UV lamp is not used for a long time, the UV lamp cover should be closed to prevent dust from entering.
